It must be 40 years after the film hit the screen and immortalised the name Frank Bullitt with “that” car chase that re-defined the word “car chase”, no film since has managed to produce a car chase of such epic proportions that it has or would be talked about with so much enthusiasm forty years later.
The Mustang’s live rear axle uses a unique 3.73:1 gear that helps propel the Bullitt with the minimum amount of fuss and the maximum amount of grunt and noise which is music to your ears, Ford engineers cleverly matched the sound of the new car to the original movie car using re-mastered DVD’s.
Standard Mustang GT shock absorbers and struts were changed for new equipment that allowed engineers to dial in a more aggressive driving experience while still maintaining the excellent ride and balance of the base Mustang GT. An engine bay strut brace designed specifically for the Bullitt adds additional lateral strength for improved cornering and has the unique serial number for each car.
Brakes have also been improved over the standard car with more aggressive front pads that were developed specifically for Bullitt, these were designed to improve fade resistance and pedal feel.
The 2008 Mustang Bullitt is shod with unique cast-aluminum classic style wheels with Dark Argent Gray. Brake calipers are coloured to match the wheel. The wheels are covered in BF Goodrich P235/50ZR 18 g-Force T/A KDWS tyres.

American Car Imports of London specialise in importing the latest generation of American vehicle – those that run on E85 Flex-Fuel technology.
Satisfied customers have already taken delivery of the new 2008 American Cars that utilise the new fuel. E85 is 85% Ethanol and only 15% Petrol. It is a renewable fuel made from biodegradable waste and several plants such as switchgrass, willow and corn. By using E85 you reduce payment to OPEC by 85% - not a bad thing!
Quite a few of the new American Cars from Ford run on E85, the F150 pick up trucks, the Crown Victoria Sedan, the Mercury Grand Marquis and the Lincoln Town Car. General Motors offer some 11 different vehicles from the Pick Ups, SUV’s Vans and Sedans. In the US there are now some 7 million vehicles on the roads capable of using E85 fuel. GM are aiming to have over half of their vehicle production either E85 or Bio-Diesel capable by 2012.
